And not a single dead body to be found! Ain't I doing good? As for my WWJD post yesterday...you tell me what YOU would do then I'll tell you what I did. Even though most of you know me well enough to know what I did. But more on that later.
Will anyone else be glad when this election is over? I will. Then again, I fear our nation is going to be in upheaval either way. That scares me. Some of my friends and I have been talking and I believe so many of us feel the same way. I miss the wisdom of my father whenever it gets time to vote. Rarely have I ever voted (even as a "big girl") without the input of my father. We've only had one presidential election since his death and his choice was clear before he died. Part of me knows what his choice would be this time but it would be nice to hear him say "this is the candidate you should vote for because..." Which probably leaves you all wondering if I can do anything for myself, right? Of course I CAN. It's just that stuff like this makes me nervous. I don't know enough about politics to even have an open discussion here without feeling like an idiot. I just know that my daddy always voted the same way. I've always voted the way he did and I feel like if I ever didn't vote that way it would be a disgrace. Crazy, no?
Did you know that Christmas is like 58 days away? Can you believe that? 58 days! Whatcha wanna bet that 50 days from now I don't even have my Christmas tree up? I'm such a scrooge. Christmas shopping is one of the worst things I think I ever have to go and do. I prefer online shopping and do a lot of my Christmas shopping that way. But there are things that you must go to the store and buy. What's on your list this year? I want a Wii. I also want a new camera. I want a Nikon D40, I think it is. Oh and I saw this GORGEOUS watch that I want. My guess is, I'll wind up with the watch, which is fine but I want the Wii!!!! So please, tell me...what are you asking for from the man in the red and white suit?
Until next time...

Happiness and peace. It will be a strange, sad holiday season. :(

PS--I'm so proud of you on the no-smoking thing! Keep it up!
I've already fell off the wagon. Seriously when it gets cold and stays cold, I'll stop. Mostly because I refuse to wear a coat and you know it gets too cold to stand out there. Even with a fire lit under your nose!!!
We got a wii!! The girls love it!! I made a purchase at lands end dot com just yesterday. Was my 1st purchase for the holiday season....WOW!!
I want a new microwave...ours that is under the cabinets, but over the counter, broke and so I bought a cheapo at Wal-Mart that sits on the counter. I want my space back....I also want my house cleaner back....

I just want an easy holiday season. I don't give a rip if I don't get a damned thing, just don't make me look like a crazy monkey in heat this year!!! I've just about had it with extended family drama and the commercialism of it all... I would absolutely love a year with a load of stuff for K under the tree, a nice Irish coffee sipped in my jammies and spending the entire day eating holiday goodies and playing with K's loot.
